What would you do if it seems like all odds are stacked against you?  In this story, a young boy by the name of Jefferson seemed to be carrying everything on his shoulders.  His family wasn’t the richest, his teachers didn’t believe that he would go very far, and he was always left to take care of his siblings.  This was very mentally tiring for Jefferson.  Do you think that he overcame all of the obstacles that were weighing him down?
